Using sh & t: listen & match together
This deck makes the SH & T contrast visible and audible through paired words, rather than asking a child to interpret a sound label alone.
A short way to begin
- Explore the shoe and two pictures together.
- Use each card’s speaker button to hear both words before playing.
- Choose Listen & find, then tap the picture for the word you heard.
- Try the next pair when you are ready; repeated listening is welcome.
Adapt this activity
Check that the learner knows what both pictures mean. A different dialect or an unfamiliar word can change how useful a pair is; choose contrasts with an SLP.
What the feedback means
The choice feedback measures this listening task only. It cannot establish a speech-sound pattern, hearing status or a diagnosis.
SH & T picture pairs
- Shoe / Two
- Shop / Top
